If you’re using drugs alone it’s important to be extra cautious around how much you take and how often you take it. Some drugs like cigarettes and alcohol can be bought in shops, but that doesn’t mean they’re safe, in fact they can be very bad for you. Depressants – drugs that have a depressive effect on the central nervous system. Typically, an individual under the influence of a stimulant may be talkative, appear confident, appear to have lots of energy, have difficulty resting and be ‘on the go’.
Common Drug Addictions
This was a 48% and 54% decrease compared with the year ending March 2020, respectively. Drugs education is provided in the curriculum which is taught to all pupils of compulsory school age in grant-aided schools. In primary schools, pupils have opportunities to learn about keeping themselves healthy and safe through the Personal Health element of the Personal Development and Mutual Understanding area of learning.
